The weather offers exciting and predictable sailing conditions. Being sup-tropical, Turkey enjoys cloudless blue skies and pleasant warm weather from April through to November.
Temperatures range from the low 20's in spring and autumn to the 30's throughout the summer. The mornings bring a light and variable breeze which builds up to force 3-5 North Westerly every afternoon. This fades as the sun goes down to provide calm and peaceful nights at anchor.
Note however that sometimes a strong northerly 'Meltem' wind blows for a period of 1-3 days, so care and attention to forecasts should be taken and safe anchorages sought.
This wind can temperarliy lower the normally balmy water temperature to something more bracing!
